Chuck E Cheese

I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday because of a bribe I made with Austin. That was the most stressful $12.50 and hour and a half I've spent in a long time! The last time we went to Chuck E Cheese, Abigail was small enough to wear and not participate. Not this time, she went one way and Austin went the other. Michael was out of town, but I told him he was going next time. He can track one kid while I track the other!

I love the way Abigail has her arm hanging out of the side of the car!

They even got to ride a Cedar Point roller coaster, The Blue Streak. The game moved like the actual roller coaster.

Sea World

Here are some pictures of our visit to Sea World in San Antonio. We went with my favorite girls from Texas, Les & Reagan!

Abigail crashed just before the "Believe" show with Shamu. She ended up waking up just in time for the show.

I talked Austin into riding the Shamu Express (a roller coaster for kids) and the ride pictured below. I really hope Abigail is going to be a roller coaster rider, Austin wasn't too thrilled about the rides and I'll need a partner for Cedar Point!

It was a very hot and tiring day, but we had a great time!

Month of the Military Child Fest

When we got to the Fest, the kids were a little sleepy. Abigail fell asleep in the car and Austin looked like he was about to.

As we got closer they started to perk up. Austin thought all the snakes were cool.

They each got Fire Chief hats. Abigail wouldn't wear hers, but Austin wore his the entire time we were at the Fest. I couldn't get him to climb on the fire truck to get a picture, this was the closest I could get.

Then of course he had to play all the games they had set up. Here he was playing the bean bag toss.

And of course he had to get a round of golf in. He wasn't quite sure how to hold the big golf club, it's much different than his plastic ones.

Here's Austin with his balloon sword. He had to have one, so we waited in line for about 5 minutes. Then he had to go potty, so when we came back, we had to wait in line for another 5 minutes. But, he got his balloon and I didn't have to hear any more whining about it!

All the food at the Fest was free, including popsicle's!

Once we got to the Fest, the weather turned really warm. I totally forgot about sunscreen so I got a little red and so did Abigail. Luckily, it's only Abigail's nose and cheeks that are pink. Next time I'll have to remember sunscreen!

I'm pretty sure Austin had a great time. As we were leaving the Fest he said, "Mommy, I had fun." I'm glad he had a good time, after all, the Fest was for him and his sister.

Happy Easter!

The kids got up this morning and got their Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny. It was so cute to watch them get so excited.

Yesterday we had people over for an Easter egg hunt. The girls from my work and another couple Michael knows came over with their kids. One of the girls I work with dressed up as a bunny and helped the kids find their eggs and gave them special treats. The kids had no clue! They were really cute. After the egg hunt we BBQ'd and hung out. The kids had a great time.

Afternoon out

The kids and I were out and about this afternoon getting some errands and shopping done. We went several places, including McAlister's Deli for lunch. Austin enjoyed a ham sandwich while Abigail ate a jelly sandwich (I'm a little scared to give her peanut butter since she's so small still). We got a ton of things accomplished while we were out. I'm hoping the kids are as worn out as I am and we'll all get a good nights sleep tonight!
