Showing my love at lunch

Austin has said several times that he doesn't like eating lunch at school because he doesn't like to use the trays in the lunch room. So, we I pack his lunch every morning. I keep looking for new ways to get him to eat more of his sandwiches. On this particular day, I used my heart cookie cutter and made him a heart sandwich.

Of course Daddy told me I should never do that again, it probably embarrassed him. (At least I didn't send a love note with his lunch too!)

So when Austin and I found a dinosaur sandwich cutter this past week, we put it right in the cart. He now only comes home with a head or a tail not eaten.

Too bad he won't switch anything up. He takes the same exact thing every day. A ham sandwich, doritos, some sort of snack (fruit snack or crackers) and a juice box. As long as he eats everything, I guess it doesn't matter what he takes.

I agree as long as he eats it, keep giving him the same meal. You'll figure out when he is sick of it. Plus there are so many fun ideas for packing lunches that you and Austin will have a blast thinking of new things to keep lunches fun.

It's ok. I took the same thing for lunch EVERY day all the way through elementary school. He knows what he likes and by lunch he is hungry so he knows he will like lunch.

I love dinosaur cutter too. Very cute.

Austin,

Grandma will have to look for some fun napkins to put in your lunch.

Mommy,
Grandma will have to look for the book that has all the thumb print characters that we used when you and Aaron's took lunches.
