Halloween night

We decided to stay home last night because we did Halloween activities this past weekend. Instead, we passed out candy to the kids who came to the door. Austin kept asking why we were giving candy to the kids. Halloween is starting to annoy me because we had the following occur several times last night:
  • The kids didn't say "Trick or Treat"
  • The kids didn't say "Thank you" after getting candy
  • The parents didn't prompt their kids say "Thank you" when they didn't say it on their own
  • Kids were not wearing a costume, one kid didn't even have a bag to collect candy, he held his hands open
  • An adult was Trick or Treating for her "nephew". I don't know where the nephew was, but he wasn't anywhere near her or the group she was with

Next Halloween should be fun because both kids will be able to walk door to door and trick or treat. Here are some pictures of our night at home.

Thanks to both sets of Grandparents, the kids loved all of their Halloween treats!

Your welcome. Maybe in a couple of years, we can actually see them Trick or treating.

I agree with all of your halloween petpeves! All of them happened at my house too! But at least your children could enjoy halloween over the weekend at controlled events. Your children are adorable and it sounds like they will grow up to say "thank you" after trick or treating.

I enjoy your blog,
Jana and Megan (Angie's friend)
