Guess who cleaned out the "guts" of these pumpkins? The girls worked together and so did the boys!

Kindergarten

How can this be? My baby went to school today! She's been so excited to start kindergarten!

3rd Grade

Today was Austin's first day of 3rd grade! He has a guy teacher this year so I'm interested to see how that goes.

Abigail heads to kindergarten in a week. Eeekkk! I'm not sure I'm ready yet!

We went to the driving range for the first time last Sunday. Abigail used Austin's clubs and joined in on the fun. I'm interested to see if we'll need to get her left handed clubs or not, she did pretty good right handed!

He's so happy!

Somebody is loving summer break, especially now that he's got his tractor all charged up!

We went to Lowe's the other day. As we were passing by the green and yellow tractors out front, he said "There's nothing better than a green John Deere."

He might agree with that statement until his Grandpa puts him to work on his John Deere!

Another one bites the dust!

Our Tooth Fairy needs to take out a small loan lately. This kid is losing teeth left and right!

I'm ashamed

My posts are lacking why? Well, I hardly ever have my camera out! I didn't even take a single picture of the kids Easter baskets this year. I took one picture with my phone and that's it!

So, I guess I'll just post a few pictures from my phone!

Another moose sighting

This time we saw a moose while returning movies to Blockbuster!

As I was running errands today I had a moose sighting! It was right on the side of the road at a busy intersection! It then slowly crossed the road and stood right in the middle. I'm not sure what happened next, I got a green light and went on my way!

Another first

And yes, that is a big goose egg and bruise on her forehead. She and the windowsill tangled while she and Austin were messing around!

2012 Iditarod - Lance Mackey

4 time Iditarod winner Lance Mackey goes past us for the ceremonial start of the 2012 Iditarod.

We ventured into downtown this morning for the ceremonial start of the 2012 Iditarod. We started away from the start line, further down the trail. It was great for the kids to get up close and see all the mushers and their dogs.















4 time Iditarod winner, Lance Mackey

The kids each got a dog bootie thrown at them while we were watching. Austin got his from team #19 and Abigail got hers from team #20. What a cool thing for them, and something they'll only get in Alaska!

This team was ready to go! It's no wonder that their musher was 4 time winner Martin Buser!
