First Day at Daycare

For those of you who don't know...I got a job. It's just part time, 2 days a week and I've already started this week. Therefore, Austin is going to daycare on the days that I'll be working!

Today was his first day there! He only spent half a day there and Mommy was the biggest crybaby of all! Austin didn't even cry when I left him there! It was still hard to leave him in a place that neither of us knows for half of the day! At least it wasn't a whole day!

It turned out to be a rough day the girls said. He hardly ate anything, didn't want to play with the other kids yet, whined so he would be carried around, and wouldn't take a nap unless he was held! Every time they tried to lay him down in a bed he would wake up! Little stinker! He must have been doing something because he took a two hour nap this evening and still went to bed at a half way decent time! He very rarely takes two naps in a day anymore, let alone for more than an hour! Hopefully it will get easier on the both of us as we both adjust! The good thing is that it's only two days a week and once he gets used to it he should be fine!

Enough of my blabbing about how bad it is to put my child in daycare! It really shouldn't be this complicated!

I got to see Riley tonight on the computer! She is sooooo cute and I can't wait to see her this weekend. Oh, and of course Ben & Angie too! We're heading out early Saturday morning so we should be in Kentucky by late morning! I'm not excited about traveling in a car for 8 hours because of all the traveling we've done in the last 2 1/2 months, but for this I'll stick it out! I'll have lots of pictures when we come back!

Well, I'm exhausted so I think I'll head to bed! Thanks to everyone who's helped me readjust this week schedule wise. Austin had some great baby-sitters this week and it has helped me out a ton!!! You know who you are...and thank you soooo much! I appreciate it!

Congratulations Ben & Angie and welcome Baby Riley Elizabeth!

Born at 8:06 pm on February 18th! Weighing in at 6 lbs, 14 oz and 20 1/2 inches long!

1 Year Check-up

Austin had his one year check-up and shots today! He now weighs a whopping 20 pounds 9 ounces and is 29 1/4 inches long! His head circumference is 46 cm, putting him in the 96th percentile! I don't know where he gets such a big head from, Michael and I have little heads! But just like all of his other check-ups this past year he passed with flying colors! He got 2 shots and has to go back for more in 3 months, then he'll be done for a little while! The doctor gave me some good ideas on how to get more dairy products into him other than drinking milk, which he's not too fond of! Although, thanks to Grandma Ringman's poll at work, he is drinking milk with a little strawberry flavor mixed into it! Not too much at a time, but he is getting some! He's officially a big boy now!

Things are going good other than that! I am hearing from Michael every couple of days and it's so nice to hear his voice! He'll be home in August for a couple of weeks so Austin and I are starting the count down already! Less than 6 months doesn't seem that far away, I can't wait! If we can connect on the internet one of these times I know that he and Austin would love to see each other on the webcam! I miss him...

I'm getting excited...Baby Riley is almost here!

I hope Jackson is feeling better! It wasn't the same watching the "Bachelorette" without everyone last night! We'll catch back up next week!
