Austin got his new Thomas bedding for his bed yesterday! Of course we had to wash it right away and put it on his bed! Then we had to do the photo shoot, I couldn't pick just one or two pictures, I thought they were all so cute! And yes, an adult can fit in the bed with him, not highly recommended, but it's possible!

For those who don't know, I got a job and I started on Monday! I actually got to do part of my job yesterday and I think I'm really going to like it! Although, it has been different getting up at 5:30 in in morning in order to get us both around and out of the house by 7! But we all get up as a family so that doesn't make it so bad! The good thing too is that Austin has been going to bed by 8:30 every night! Well, I shouldn't say just Austin, we were all in bed by 8:30 the other night!!!! Daycare is going good for Austin, he had a hard time when I left on Monday but that was only because I had to go back into his room to tell his teacher about his milk thing! He (we) would have been fine if I hadn't gone back in there!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good week! Now that I'm working full time it's nice to know that the week's almost half over!!!!!!!

There's nothing like laying on the couch in just a diaper and watching tv! He was actually watching a movie, but likes to think that he's in control of the remote! He has finally figured out how to cover himself up with a blanket! So he covered himself up and got comfortable! It also makes me feel better that if during the night he gets cold, he can cover himself up again!

Splish Splash I was taking a bath!

After Austin's nearly hour bath last night, I thought I would post these pictures of him! He succeeded in getting the entire bathroom floor wet along with cracking us up the entire time! He loves the bathtub and was being really silly last night! He was swimming and splashing, trying to get us wet! He certainly needed a bath after he played outside all afternoon! His face and hands had dirt all over them by the time we got done!

New Pictures

I managed to get some pictures from Austin's birthday parties into his photo album too!

Nothing much has been going on with us! Austin was sick at the beginning of the week with a little cold. Nothing major, just a fever, coughing and the every 2 hour diaper change! We stuck with the breathing treatments around every 4 hours and that seemed to help! He's working on getting rid of the cough, but other than that he's back to his normal self- 2! He's got the attitude down!

I've been trying to find a job since we got back home. I have my first interview on Monday with a bank. I'm not really sure if I want to do the whole banking thing, but I've never done it before either! We'll see, it's just a first interview. I did apply for a veterinary tech position, but when I went in to fill out the application, I caught the receptionist's name: Andrea! So I don't know if that will pan out or not. When I worked at Milwood, we didn't like to hire people with the same name as somebody already working there! We'll see! I don't really have vet tech experience either, but they said that they would train the right person. Oh well, it's worth a shot!

Other than that nothing else is going on. We're going to a birthday party this weekend, but that's about the extent of our plans! We'll probably just hang out all weekend and enjoy each others company!!!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Austin was helping me pack his things this morning for the trip to Michigan. Here's how he thought we needed to pack his suitcase!

What's new?

Alright, I've been catching a lot of crap because I haven't been the best at updating the website lately! Guess what, I just put a whole bunch of new pictures in Austin's photo album! Here's a quick summary of how things are going:

Michael got home from Iraq on Dec 22, just in time for Christmas! We had a wonderful time having him home for Christmas! Austin, of course, was spoiled for Christmas! Some of his highlights were his new train table from Grandma & Grandpa Richards and his very own tractor to ride on from Grandma & Grandpa Ringman!



You'll find what else he got for Christmas in the pictures in his albums. The kid is in love with John Deere Tractors! Not to mention Elmo and Thomas the Train!

We're pretty much settled into the house now. Everything on the inside is organized and not a box is in site. Now in the garage, that's a different story! Besides the totes and boxes out there, it's heaven for a kid who wishes to play with a ride on toy! Half of our one car garage is filled with Austin's toys! We did go for a bike ride the other day, so my bike and the bike pull behind is taking up a little of the space! We finally got some couches in this place too, so now there's more room to sit! After our fiasco with the dead rat on our couch, we got a very very gently used couch and love seat! Not exactly what I would have picked out, but they're not ugly either! They still have the tags on them and are practically are brand new! Definitely cheaper than brand new stuff! I'll have to take some pictures of the inside of the house now that it's all put together so everyone can see what it looks like!

We're getting ready to head to Michigan for Michael's leave! We'll be there for Austin's 2nd birthday, so that's kind of exciting! I can't believe that he's going to be 2 already! It seems like he was just born yesterday!

As you can see, Austin got himself a new big boy bed! Or as he calls it, his "baby bed!" No idea why he thinks it's a baby bed, but it seems to be working out for him! He had a little trouble staying in the bed the first night, but has done great since then! Although the pitter patter of little feet in my bedroom at 5:30 this morning was not the greatest, but who can be mad seeing his little face first thing in the morning! So we got around, said bye to Daddy when he left for work, and headed to the grocery store! Of course someone took a little cat nap on the way home, but has been going strong ever since!

This post isn't going how I thought it was going to go! I'm going to wrap it up so that we can go eat some lunch! We'll catch up some more in Michigan, I hope it's warmer than when we left there a couple of months ago! Wow, I can't believe that it's been almost 2 moths since we've left!
