Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

The kids have been preparing for Easter all week. On Wednesday we went to our FRG Easter Party. Austin had a blast hunting for eggs!

Abigail wasn't quite into it as much as Austin was. She did find a few though.

She didn't want to get far from her Daddy!

Once we came in from hunting eggs, Austin dyed some hard boiled eggs.

After we ate, Abigail enjoyed a cupcake!

Thursday Austin had an Easter Party at daycare. They enjoyed treats and an easter egg hunt.

Yum, cake!

Austin's name was picked in a drawing, so he got to pick out a prize.

So many choices! He picked the Curious George stamps.

Getting ready for the egg hunt. Can you spot him?

On your mark, get set, go!

This morning they woke up and checked out what the Easter Bunny had brought them.

Even Lexi got something from the Easter Bunny!

Hope everyone had a great day!

I've lost that blogging feeling...

I haven't had a lot of time to blog lately. Not too much has been going on either. Other than having two kids, a puppy and a husband who is about to deploy in approximately 60 days!

Here are some pictures to catch you up on the things we have captured with the camera!

Abigail is now more than comfortable with the dog...

And the dog is more than comfortable with us!

Last Saturday was Austin's last day of his soccer class. He received a certificate, a t-shirt & a soccer ball for completing the class!

********

Later that evening we went to our friends house to have a BBQ & bonfire to celebrate Daddy's birthday!

********

Yesterday we attended the Month of the Military Child Fest. The kids Austin was able to pet some animals.

We got to see a monster truck up close. Austin had no clue that later that evening he was going to the monster truck show that this truck was in town for! Thumbs up Mommy!

Austin attempted to make a basket in the huge basketball hoop.

He even lassoed a bull!

Of course he had to get a prize!

He chose the gold metal!

While Austin was collecting his prize, Daddy was teaching Abigail how to shoot her water gun!

After some hot dogs for lunch, the kids enjoyed popsicle's.

My office had to work the information booth at the festival so after the kids finished their popsicle's they headed home with Daddy while I worked my shift.

Once home, we attempted to get a picture of the three of us in our t-shirts. As you can tell, we didn't get a lot of cooperation from a couple of kids! I had a staff t-shirt and the kids got their t-shirts at the fest.

Then last night the boys went to the monster truck show.

This is all Austin could talk about last night when he got home, how the blue one flipped over on it's side.

They had a great time and I'm glad they got to do something together!

Backtracking

Oh my! It feels as though I've been going 100 mph since we stepped of the plane that returned us from our wonderful trip to Michigan. Let's see if I can remember everything that's happened since then!

~ The Monday after we returned, Abigail headed to the doctor for her 2 year well baby check up. She weighed 22 lbs, 4 oz. which finally put her on the growth chart. Although it only puts her in the 4th percentile, we're still happy that she made it onto the chart! She was also 33 1/2 inches tall, placing her just below the 50th percentile for height. Overall she's growing great!

~ The following Friday Austin went to the doctor for his 5 year well child check up. He weighed in at 35 lbs, 6 oz. and was 41 1/4 inches tall. Both measurements placed him in the 25th percentile for both. He continues to grow at a steady pace. I still can't believe he's 5 years old though!

~ That same Friday Michael was set to arrive home from Fort Leonard Wood. He arrived home safe around midnight, so the kids were really excited when they woke up to find Daddy here. It's been so nice to have him home. The kids missed him a ton and the feeling was mutual for Daddy too.

~ Exactly a week after Michael arrived home Grandma Great and my cousin Michael arrived from Michigan with the new addition to our family. Lexi has been a wonderful addition, although her puppy tendencies get a little stressful at times.

~ I did take some pictures of the kids with the dog last night but didn't have time to upload them. Maybe I'll get to it in the next week! (Just kidding Mom!)

Our new dog, Lexi

Our new puppy arrived Friday night! She was a little wound up when she got here because she'd been cooped up in the car for two days. She's since settled down, is learning how to behave (sit & come) and is starting to whine when she needs to head outside to potty. Here are some pictures:

Enjoying her first meal at our house

Abigail's still not sure what to do around the puppy. She's slowly getting around her more and not freaking out as much!

This was our attempt to get her closer to the puppy:

She's got a lot of growing to do before she fully fits into her bed!

She's so sweet!
